65 years ago, Drs. Victor Buzzotta and Robert Lefton formed Psychological Associates. Together, they created the Dimensional Model of Behavior, helped countless leaders and organizations, and made a name for themselves in the fields of leadership consulting and industrial/organizational psychology.
But as years pass, organizations and generations change. While the legacy of our founders is and always will be core to who we are, it is time to embrace the future and, with it, a new era for Psychological Associates.
Family Business Succession
Siblings Jeff, Cindy, and Brad Lefton, the second generation of the Lefton family, announced they have taken ownership of Psychological Associates. They are proud to carry their father’s legacy and take steps into a bright new future for the company. They wish their former partner, Dr. Buzzotta’s daughter, Ann Buzzotta, well as she enters her next venture.
The new era for Psychological Associates includes a third generation of Leftons in the company. Dr. Lefton’s granddaughter, Jessica Lefton, has been named Director of Marketing and Communications. She will serve on the company’s Leadership Team.
“This news is meaningful because it ensures the continuity of our family’s 65-year-old business,” said co-owner Cindy Lefton. “It is important to us that we honor our father’s legacy by carrying it forward.”
What’s Ahead for Psychological Associates
We are excited to introduce several improvements to our services in the upcoming year. These include:
- A new online platform to enhance coaching engagements through personalized resource sharing and progress tracking,
- A streamlined assessment process that allows consultants to spend more time on operational job fit and less time on report writing mechanics,
- And the “Q4 Compass,” an online client portal for real-time status updates throughout the assessment process.
Psychological Associates has also named David Rowan, Ph.D. Head of Learning & Development.
“The Lefton family is fully aligned with Psychological Associates’ focus on world-class solutions,” said PA’s CEO Clay Hildebrand. “Recent investments in our people and technology, underscored by the Lefton’s commitment to our success, make our organization well-positioned for the future.”
