FAQs
How long will it take?
Some of the measures are untimed, so it can be difficult to predict the length of time it will take, as everyone assesses at their own rate. If you were assigned Prework and will not have time to complete it before your visit to our office, you will be asked to stay and complete that Prework, which will add a considerable amount of time to your stay in our office. If you need to schedule a flight home, please contact us at Scheduling@Q4Solutions.com, and we will work with you to coordinate flight times.
What time should I arrive?
Please refer to your e-mail confirmation for your arrival time. Please note our offices open at 8:30 AM; however, assessments do not typically start until 9:00 AM.
What should I wear?
Business attire is recommended.
What should I bring?
Other than eyeglasses, if you wear them, and money for lunch, parking (cash only), or cab fare, everything will be provided for the assessment day. We will ask for identification upon your arrival.
Will there be time for breaks and lunch?
Yes, time is allotted for short breaks and for lunch. The assessment staff will keep you informed of how quickly you are working so that you can adjust your schedule as needed.
May I use tobacco products?
We work in a tobacco-free building. However, the assessment staff will direct you to areas that are designated for tobacco usage if you would like to take a break.
May I be contacted by others during my assessment?
If you need to receive phone calls throughout the day, we can relay messages to you from our main telephone number. If you will be bringing a cell phone with you, we ask that you please keep it turned off during your assessment. This will avoid disruptions to you and ensure other testers will not be disturbed. We will have phones available, should you need to make outgoing calls during breaks.
Will you validate my parking ticket?
We cannot validate parking tickets. Typically, the company for which you are testing will reimburse you for your parking expenses. The cost to park in our garage is usually about $10/day; cash and credit cards are accepted.
How do I get to Psychological Associates from the airport?
Psychological Associates is typically a 15-20 minute taxi ride from the airport. If you do rent a car, see the Directions & Parking link above.
What kind of instruments will I be taking?
You will be completing a variety of instruments that may include problem-solving, managerial style, and work-related personality characteristics. Most assessments are on our computer; some may be pencil/paper.
Can I study?
No, these are not the types of surveys you can or need to study for. Our advice is to get a good night’s rest, relax, and be yourself.
Who will get the results of my assessment?
Only the organization that referred you for the assessment will receive the results. Some organizations choose to share results with the candidate, and some do not. Please consult with your organization contact to see if he/she will provide you with a summary of your results.
What else will I be doing besides completing measures?
You may also meet a PA Consultant for an interview.
