Recent hire Patricia Bagsby, Ph.D., will present on “Evaluating OD Interventions” at the St. Louis Organization Development Network on March 8.
Partnering with Cheryl Throgmorton, Ed.D., Bagsby will share example evaluations of Organization Development interventions that impact organizational health. As new people data analytics tools emerge, the ability to evaluate the outcomes of OD interventions and to show their impact on organizational health is encouraging.
The Global OD Practice Framework provides a competency construct for OD practitioners, increasing ability to understand data to make solid organizational recommendations. OD practitioners are challenged to be data synthesizers and results-oriented leaders, but they are often hindered by limited resources. It is important for OD practitioners to partner with organizational stakeholders to develop an agreed-upon evaluation strategy.
Because the effective practice of evaluating OD requires a framework to efficiently and consistently gather metrics to support data-driven decision making, Bagsby approaches the topic from the Phillips ROI methodology.
